Dickie Bird M.B.E. is the Northern Hamster Club’s President.
Harold ‘Dickie’ Bird was born in Barnsley in April 1933 and was awarded
the M.B.E. in June 1986. Dickie Bird played cricket for both Yorkshire
and Leicestershire and went on to be the most successful and famous umpire
in the world, umpiring over 160 international matches.

includes appearances on Pet Rescue, Wildlife Police, Vets To The Rescue
and Zoo Vet. Matt also worked on the children’s movie blockbuster
Harry Potter as advisor on the features of the owl Hedwig. He was also
an advisor on BBC1’s Walking With Dinosaurs and is the resident vet for
Flamingo Land. To add to this Matt also runs a busy mixed animal practice
in North Yorkshire.
